Wishful Wednesday | August 2016
Whether you’re visiting, or if you live in beautiful California or even the big apple, there are several fun and exciting things to do on the East and West coasts! From the mountains of Northern California, to the tropics of Florida, weather doesn’t stop us from having a good time! On the blog today, I am going to share with you some amazing events coming up in August! Ready for it?
1. Starting in the mountains of California is the Dark Sky Festival at Lassen Volcanic National Park! This event allows you to take a tour of the constellations at night, go on amazing hikes up to beautiful open meadows, climb to the top of a volcano, and get cool demonstrations from people that work at NASA! Do you love stargazing? You haven't seen anything yet! This event is from August 12th to the 14th.
2. Get ready for the Latin food fest down in San Diego, where you can try all your favorite Latin dishes in one place! From tacos to tamales, this festival is sure to be fun and also very filling! There are some cooking demonstrations and wine workshops available to try while you’re there, so don't miss out! This event takes place from August 12th to the 15th at the Embarcadero Marina Park.
3. The East coast is not far behind the West coast when it comes to festivals and events! If you are into musicals, check out the musical, Wicked, at the Gershwin Theater in New York City on August 1st! If you’re looking to go to a concert, Drake will be performing alongside Future at the Madison Square Garden on August 5th! The New Kids on the Block will also be performing at the Coney Island Boardwalk on August 4th if you want a that déjà vu feeling!
4. If you happen to be in the sunny state of Florida, you can check out some cool events there too! The Dancin’ in the Streets event in Downtown Stuart is sure to get you moving! This event provides free admission, great eats, and five stages! If you’re interested, it will be on August 20th. Do you want to build a snowman? It's official, you can! The Sandtastic weekend will be from August 26th to the 28th and also from September 2nd to the 4th! This event will include lots of sand sculpture making while dancing along to the DJ provided!
So no matter what coast you live on, there’s an event you can attend near you! If you live closer to the Midwest, keep your eyes peeled for great events, and let us know what they are so we can share them with our viewers! Definitely let us know if any of these events and concerts interest you! We'd love to see pics :-).
Until next time FE girls,
